Tyler Wolf’s new show Transmutation is based on the idea of change, change we impose upon the world and change that is imposed upon us by the larger universe. The splitting of atoms and splicing of genes are certain themes that make their way into some of his new paintings. Will the change we impose upon the world be a positive thing, or are we just creating monsters?

Tyler Wolf is a graduate of ECU with a BFA in painting and drawing. He is a founding member of the band Valient Thorr. Wolf is also member of Team Lump and this is first solo show at Lump.
